Despite its abundant human resources, wide expanse of arable land and favorable climatic conditions, Nigeria is still in the rank of poor and under developed countries.

Although there are numerous reasons for this, one of the major reasons has been the manifest neglect of Agriculture which before the last three decades was not only the main stay of the economy but currently engages about 70% of the nation’s workforce and contributes over 40% of the country’s Gross Domestic product.

To redress this anomaly, numerous Agricultural policies and incentives were introduced by successive governments.

One of such policies in recent years was the Presidential Initiative on Cassava which sought to take advantage of the tuber’s rising demand worldwide and the fact that Nigeria is the world’s biggest producer of the Agricultural Commodity to encourage both the small holder and large scale farmer to go into serious production of cassava.

Imbued the patriotic fervour and drive to better the lives of the people, a group of Nigeria from diverse backgrounds but with common objective came together in 2005 to form the Godilogo farms Nigeria Limited and plunged into unprecedented production and processing of Cassava.
